Freedom Fellowship is anti-cult

What is a cult?

In order to qualify as a cult, there needs to be a group of people involved, which means there cannot be less than 2 people involved.

A cult is a group of people who have beliefs about objective reality that are wrong. A cult is a group of people who are controlled, who do not ask questions, and who have a central authority figure that controls their life. The controlling figure can be a central person, small council, or organization. Cults cannot exist without having central control and power over its members. Cults smear, abuse, and harm people who try to leave.

Cult recap:

  1. Central power and control over its members by a single person, a small group of people, or an organization.

  2. Cults have belief systems that do not match up with objective reality or human nature.

  3. Cults control and censor all information and only share what gives and keeps them in power.

  4. Cults are known for their brainwashing, which is the use of force to make people believe something is true, even though it isn’t.

  5. Cults are full of groomers. Groomers are people who target weak/vulnerable humans so that they can develop a manipulative “win-lose” relationship. Groomers abuse people and work to limit others’ potential for their own life. Groomers do not care about the well being of the person they are grooming; they are only concerned about what that groomed person can do for them.

  6. Cults have rules against people leaving. Cults will abuse, slander, and physically harm members who try to leave.

    1. Muhammed told muslims to murder everyone who left Islam, even if they were their own child.

  7. Cults are set up to have the members not mean as much as the leader or the group.

Why do cults form?

Cults form due to 2 main reasons-human nature and a lack of information about objective reality.

  1. Human Nature is fundamentally selfish.

    1. Before people allow themselves to get emotional, I want you to remember that we would not be here reading this if humans were not selfish. Humans and all animals would not have evolved and survived without being fundamentally selfish. Humans and animals do work together with other members of their species and even members of different species, but all interaction that an organism has with objective reality and other organisms, is 100% self-first perspective. Selfishness is a good thing. Selfishness is a survival tool. Humans can not be anything but selfish in their life. The only choice that humans get is to be “irrationally selfish” or “reason based selfish.”

      1. Pretty much until the 1900’s selfishness was viewed as a negative thing even though it is literally the only option for humans. The human minds world view has been set up contradictory since the beginning of recorded human history, and probably longer than that.

      2. People who claim to care about other people first, are often the most irrationally selfish people.

    2. Humans form tribes for selfish reasons. Tribes help an individual with their life, both offensively and defensively.

      1. Defensively.

        1. Humans would not survive without a tribe to raise them to adulthood. Humans are completely helpless for the first 5-6 years of life and pretty much have zero chance of surviving alone. A tribe defends a child and their mother while the child grows over the years. The tribe defends the child from bears, wolves, lions, and evil tribes.

          1. A tribe defends my life.

          2. A tribe will defend my grandchildren’s life when I am gone.

      2. Offensively

        1. Tribes have a better hunting success rate than a single individual has on their own.

        2. Tribes can search more land for chances to scavenge meat or gather plants.

        3. Tribes can expand their land control more than a single individual.

        4. A tribe can build knowledge and pass it on more efficiently than a single person.

        5. A single person has only so many skills and talents. A tribe of people will provide more talents and abilities. A tribe of people will be able to use different talented individuals to help the overall environment of the tribe, which obviously improves the environment of each individual human.

    3. A selfish person is always going to look for the best outcome for themselves. A person can have a better life if they have many people dedicated to them and their children, which is why so many men desire to be the tribe alpha and why so many women desires to have their children be from the tribes alpha.

      1. It was not until the concept of free markets that humans were even able to conceptualize a society that was full of interactions that were “win-win.” It was not until the north, in America, during the 1800’s that humanity was able to have a real example of that concept in action.

  2. Humans were never going to be able to figure out the right way to fundamentally set up an ideology/religion/social group until they had enough knowledge to understand the world correctly. Humans were always going to create groups that were fundamentally irrational in various ways, until it understood that reality and human nature are objective. Irrational moral codes are always going to lead to suffering, abuse, and immorality. The fundamental law of morality is “Irrationality always leads to immorality.”

    1. It is not possible to understand objective human nature and reality without understanding Darwin, Newton, and Einstein. Every ideology and moral code before all 3 of those people would always fail, because without the evidence for correct knowledge of reality, it is impossible to create the correct objective moral platform for humanity to be built on.

    2. Humans did not understand that free humans are far more productive than slaves until the 1800’s. This evidence was needed to break the mind set of humans, because before this century, all humans were convinced that nearly all human interactions were “win-lose” and they could not really imagine a world that was based on “win-win.”

Is Freedom Fellowship a cult?

Freedom Fellowship is a fellowship of individuals, which means that it has more than 2 people. Freedom Fellowship is a group, so it does have the potential to become a cult. Being a group does not mean that it is a cult, but it does mean that it has the potential to become one.

First, I will ask questions about Freedom Fellowship to see if it meets the qualifications of a cult and then I will give a list of the steps taken to make sure that Freedom Fellowship will not become a cult.

Cult qualifying questions

Is Freedom Fellowship a belief system that does not match up with reality?

Freedom Fellowship is not a belief system. There is no faith in Freedom Fellowship. Freedom Fellowship is 100% based on objective reality and human nature. Principle #1 literally says, “The world is the way it is.”

Is there a central controlling power in Freedom Fellowship?

The only thing central to all Freedom Fellowship members is the short and simple 2-page invitation letter. The invitation letter simply lists the goal and principles of Freedom Fellowship. The invitation letter is a simple guideline for living a reason based and moral life.

There is no central controlling individual or organization in Freedom Fellowship. The power structure of Freedom Fellowship is decentralized and all interactions between members are voluntary.

What happens to people who choose to leave Freedom Fellowship?

Is the person leaving or running from doing something immoral or a rights violation?

There are no negative consequences for leaving Freedom Fellowship, as long as the person leaving did not violate rights or do something immoral just before leaving. Freedom Fellowship defends itself and its members from slander, abuse, extortion, etc. Self-defense is moral and Freedom Fellowship and its members will always be willing to defend people who are reason based and moral from immoral people, regardless of whether they are in Freedom Fellowship or not. So, as long as the person leaving, is not running away because they just violated someone or abused someones rights, then there will never be an issue.

If a member does not want to be a part of Freedom Fellowship, then they are free to leave.

So, to clarify, members of Freedom Fellowship are free to join and leave whenever they decide. Freedom Fellowship says that an individual is the central authority figure in their own life, whether they are part of Freedom Fellowship or not.

Does Freedom Fellowship censor or control information and knowledge?

No.

Does Freedom Fellowship groom others?

No.

Groomers are trying to create “win-lose” situations with others. Groomers are willing to use force to target their victims. Groomers are looking to use victims to help the groomer.

Using force goes against Freedom Fellowship’s moral code. Freedom Fellowship is looking for “win-win” situations and desires to help each individual reach their own potential in their own lives.

Does Freedom Fellowship brainwash others?

Freedom Fellowship does not brainwash. Freedom Fellowship only cares about what is objectively true (principle #1). There is no force used in Freedom Fellowship (principle #4).

Are all members in Freedom Fellowship valued?

Freedom Fellowships moral code is that every member is the most important member in their own life, regardless of whether that member is the founder, a leader, or a regular member. Freedom Fellowships’ ONLY goal is to guarantee each individual’s right to control their own life path.

Principle #8 makes it 100% clear to each member that they are the most important human in their life. Each member of Freedom Fellowship is the central power figure in their life.

What steps were taken to make sure that Freedom Fellowship would not end up a cult?

Self-regulation

  1. The founders responsibility starts and ends with the blue print for the group, at least from a founder’s perspective. All the founder can do is discover the correct moral code for humans and then reasonably and morally share it with the world.

    1. The founder can only control the moral code and set up from a theoritical standpoint. If the founder wants to make sure that they create a reason based and moral social group/religion/ideology, then the founder needs to figure out the correct input and principless for the group to stand on.

      1. Reality is objective. Human nature is objective. The only way for the moral code to be correct is for it to be in line with objective reality and human nature. The moral code needs to be able to identify the boundary lines that define human nature, objective reality, and moral interactions between humans.

        1. The founder did not invent the principles and goal. The founder researched, studied, and noticed reality and human nature. The founder discovered the right principles and goal for humans to live together reasonably and morally.

    2. The founder can only control themselves. The only person that the founder has full control over and can stop from being cultish, is themselves.

      1. The founder cannot control other people and be moral, so the founder accepts this and respects individuals right to make good and bad decisions.

        1. The founder did make sure though to clarify what is moral and what is immoral behavior, in the official statement of Freedom Fellowship. The official statement of Freedom Fellowship clearly outlines that cult behavior is immoral and completely against Freedom Fellowship’s moral code and set up.

  2. Every member is in charge of themselves.

    1. The fact that each member is the central controling figure in their life tells you that Freedom Fellowship is fundamentally anti-cult in nature.

    2. It will be up to each member to regulate themselves for reasonable and moral behavior.

  3. Members/leaders are not in charge of other Freedom Fellowship members and leaders, but it is their responsibility to say something or take reason based and moral action, if other people in Freedom Fellowship have gone against the moral code and are now trying to abuse other members/leaders and/or non-freedom fellowship people.

    1. Rights violations should have the law involved. Freedom Fellowship does not protect any members or leaders who abuse others, from legal punishment.

    2. Leaders are expected to step up more in this regard, since they have self-identified as someone who wants that responsibility.

      1. A member should not be afraid to say something or take the issue to someone who is able to address the issue, if individual rights are being violated.

        1. The founder cannot live forever nor can they handle regulating everyone in Freedom Fellowship. Making sure that Freedom Fellowship does not become a cult in any way, will always be the responsibility of its members and leaders.

    3. If a leader/member is publicy spreading irrational and immoral ideas and views, then reason based and moral members/leaders should take the time to write up an essay/book/ whatever is needed, in order to demonstrate that the person is being irrational and immoral.

      1. Always use reason and evidence to make your point as clearly and simply as possible.

Anti-cult mechanisms put in place to prevent Freedom Fellowship from becoming a cult.

  1. There is ZERO central controlling ego.

  2. The goal is individual rights. A cult leader wouldn’t have that as their central driving force in life. These two things are literally opposite. Individual rights decentralizes power in society, which neutralizes a cult leaders ability to control members.

  3. Principle 1 says “There is no interactive god” and “The world is the way it is.”….The founder clearly says in the 1st principle that there is no supernatural beings, including them. No supernatural power. The founder also clearly says that objective reality is the final authority figure on life. This is another measure put in place to clarify that the founder is not a central authority figure. Objective reality is the final judge.

  4. Principle 2 says that each member chooses the hero character that acts as “god/main hero of their personal imagination.” Cults tell their members what fictional characters they have to accept as their authority figure. Freedom Fellowship makes it clear that this hero character is fictional, but it serves some human nature purposes for humans. Loneliness is lethal for humans. Each human is the only person who spends 100% of their life, in their life. It’s lonely being the only person who knows all your information. It’s useful to imagine a hero to motivate, give courage, and guide us to our best self. Freedom Fellowship makes it 100% clear that each member picks their own hero character.

    1. This is completely opposite of what cults do. If you control the morality of the fictional character that controls a person’s mind, then you can have extremely strong influence over them. Freedom Fellowship defines clear objective lines between each members right to control their own mind.

  5. Principle 4 says that all interaction between humans needs to be voluntary. This means that the founder/leaders cannot force any member to do anything without their consent.

  6. Principle 5 is “no preacher hierarchy.” There is no central authority figure or organization in Freedom Fellowship. It’s a completely decentralized block chain set up.

  7. Principle 6 and 7 reminds the member that they have to treat themselves reasonably and morally, as well as other people in society.

  8. Principle 8 says that each person is the most important person in their life. It says that each person should morally center themselves in the center of their own life. The individual is the center of their own life.

  9. Freedom Fellowship does not have any dues, fees or attendance records. Members do not have to attend any community events. Members do not have to communicate with other members. It is perfectly fine for a person to be a member but live their life completely independently of other members.

    1. For the members who do want community services and individual services, they will have to figure out how to morally and reasonably fund these services. Members are allowed to figure out what terms work best for themselves.

  10. The #1 goal of Freedom Fellowship is to establish a world with individual rights for every person. The goal is not to get people to join Freedom Fellowship. Individual rights for everyone is the only goal. Freedom Fellowship is nothing more than a simple concept/tool that the founder put together to allow individual Earthlings to bond together in a reason based and moral way, so that they can efficiently achieve the true goal of Freedom Fellowship, “individual rights for everyone in humanity.”

    1. It is efficient and useful though for people to identify as a member of the group, because if nothing else, then it turns that person into a billboard for individual rights and basic moral principles that humanity will need to accept in order to build that world. Publicly identifying this goal and principles as important to you, will pull those humans who value and respect you towards them, like gravity.

    2. In order to build an individual rights-based world, the correct moral principles will need to be spread throughout society and a group is more efficient at this than an individual.

    3. Humans are tribal in nature for defensive reasons.

      1. The first years of a human’s life is completely out of their hands, so we need a group with correct moral principles to be there to protect and empower all future humans yet to be born.

      2. There are evil ideology based death cult groups in the world that are trying to murder the concept of individual rights and enslave humanity forever. An individual Earthling has zero chance alone to defeat these evil slavers. A group of Earthlings who are bonded by the correct moral principles have an excellent chance of defeating all irrational and immoral slave ideologies, forever.

        1. No Earthling can defeat these terrorists’ death cults alone.

        2. No Earthling can defeat these terrorist death cults in one lifetime.

        3. No Earthling can defend and maintain an individual rights-based world forever.

  11. Freedom Fellowship education systems will be decentralized and based on objective reality and human nature. Principle #1 “Reality is what it is.”

    1. Parents don’t want their kids raised to be slavers (communists/socialist/muslim).

    2. Parents want their kids to value individual rights.

    3. Parents don’t want their children to be brainwashed to believe they won’t be happy unless they cut healthy body parts off.

  12. The invitation letter is the only “official” statement in Freedom Fellowship. This is important because every member is encouraged to go beyond the letter in their own moral playbook for life. Freedom Fellowship encourages every member to have their own version of Freedom Fellowship beyond the basic letter. This is another clear step that is put in place to decentralize power in Freedom Fellowship. This step reenforces the principle that all members are the central authority figure in their life.

    1. Everything in Freedom Fellowship that goes beyond the invitation letter is considered “unofficial.” This is done to draw 100% clear objective boundaries between what members have agreed to and what members have not agreed to. Members have only “officially” agreed to the letter. Members have not agreed to every other members “unofficial version beyond the letter.” When members go beyond the letter, they are officially only speaking for themselves. This step is to be transparent as possible and clearly define object lines. Freedom Fellowship is drawing clear lines between members and reminding members that they only speak for themselves.

      1. The founder wanted members to have as much customization as possible in Freedom Fellowship.

      2. Members are allowed to identify as agreeing with another person’s “unofficial interpretation beyond the letter” but that is only if that particular individual self identifies that way.

      3. Members do not even have to fully agree with the invitation letter. People are allowed to join Freedom Fellowship if they generally agree with the principles and goal. Every member is asked to review the letter in their “personal moral playbook” so that they can clarify what they think about it in general, the specific wording, and anything else they want to clarify.

The founder did everything they could to reasonably make it clear that they are the complete opposite of a cult leader. Freedom Fellowship is literally designed to bring about the most decentralized society, because it has the most reasonable and moral chance of building an individual rights based world for all humans. Decentralized world has the best chance of maintaining that individual rights based society for as long as there are humans in existence.
